It is my story. It is painful and it is healing. It is the best and it is the worst. It is wonderful and bittersweet. It is unforgiving and it is forgiven. It is of loss and of gain. It is crowded and it is lonely. It is my tears and it is their tears. It is generational and it is present. It is my story. I am Mary and I began to write....THE VISION
The truth is this vision and faith to believe for others was given to me a long time before my feet started good works. I was sitting in a jail cell when I asked God, "How can you let me go through this?" And oh so sweetly, I heard... And the Lord answered me, and said, "Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he (she) may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." —Habakkuk 2:1-3
I have no pencil. I have no paper....all I have is you talking to me and a memory that is failing even now as I hear you Lord!! “Oh well, It must not have been you God” I thought. So I got up on the top bunk to look out of a thickly clouded window for a glimpse outside. I could not see out but I could see the vision coming to life. There on the bunk, was paper and a 11/2 inch long pencil. This is where I began to walk in the calling of Butterfly Moments Inc. I began to write...
Butterfly Moments Inc. was envisioned in 2010 and founded as a 501(c)3 in 2013. After personally going through a series of events that ended with absolute despair, I was given help by those who were paying forward help they had received. In the midst of my pain, I found my destiny. My faith will work for others until they can have hope for themselves and then others.

Society has many questions that can only be answered from the mouth of the addict. My name is Cat and I am here to tell my story. It is my story. It is painful, and it is healing. I have a story to tell. If you have walked in my shoes or if you are running behind someone who has walked in my shoes, then may God bless your willingness to change. You may have a loved one in the midst of obsessive addictive behaviors, but they are not ready to admit defeat. It’s okay, as long as there is breath in the body there is still hope. I strongly suggest you pray. You may have questions of whether the next few days in sobriety will be too much to handle. It doesn’t matter why you have this book, but I do know that it is for you and not for someone else. I have a double-sided story. I am the adult child of an addict and became the addict I hated so much.
